About

Canadian blogger and social media influencer, Brian Webb, is well known and respected across North America for his stories targeting the LGBT community. Originally from the Okanagan Valley and now based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Brian shares daily lifestyle articles on food, drink, including the popular Cocktail of the Week, and travel, mixed with entertainment & nightlife, product reviews and healthy living features. Brian always finds the inside stories on new and favourite adult-entertainment performers, entertainers, and members of the LGBT community, which keep people returning to myWebbSite.ca.

Brian has attended over a dozen Pride festivals and events across North America over the past two years, satisfying his desire to travel and allowing him to learn more about LGBT rights and organizations in other communities. Brian has realized that not all jurisdictions are equal and it has demonstrated to him that more work needs to be done to secure the basic human rights of gays, lesbian, and trans-gendered people around the world.

Brian also strongly believes that a healthy mind and body go hand. While he strives to maintain his educational growth and activism to stimulate his mental health, Brian works equally hard to maintain his physical health. As a member of the Steve Nash Sports Club, Brian works out five days per week, and also trains five days per week as part of his marathon clinic schedule with the Running Room. Over the past two years Brian has participated in eight competitive running races including 10km, half and full marathon. Combining his passion for athleticism and social media, Brian is an official athlete spokesperson for the Underwear Affair and holds multiple media accreditations with BMO Marathons, Underwear Affair and the Vancouver Sun Run.

Brian especially values and is aware of the many youth who follow him on his blog and social media. Understanding he is a role model to them, he hopes his journey, stories and inspiring attitude will help others ease their own journey into the LGBT world. Brian is excited to continue to reach, spread the word of, and increase the awareness of the rights and value of the LGBT community to all people worldwide.

“A vital part of the success of the Vancouver 2011 North America Outgames was our social media platform. With excellent coverage, blog posts and enthusiastic twitter talk, Brian Webb and his blog, myWebbSite.ca, played an integral part in keeping our online presence exciting and relevant.”

- Barb Snelgrove, Public Relations Manager, 2011 North America Outgames

“Brian helped significantly raise the profile of NaKeD Underwear in the metro Vancouver market through editorial product reviews and company profiles on his blog, MyWebbSite.ca. In addition, through contests on Twitter, plus event announcements and coverage with photos of our guerrilla marketing events, Brian notably increased the following of @NaKeDUnderwear across the United States and Canada.”

- Ross Brown, Past Chairperson and CMO / Investor, NaKeD Underwear

For Underwear Affair, a non-profit annual event raising funds for cancers ‘below the waist’, social media presents a main channel for raising awareness and generating interest with the public. With his creative and informative posts, and engaging tweets, Brian Webb played a vital role in spreading the word about the event and educating the public about this important cause. Furthermore, Brian is an excellent spokesperson. I am looking forward to working with Brian again.

- Borjana Slipicevic, PR Coordinator, The Underwear Affair
