Three Things You Might Not Know About Jessica Sutta

Pop music lovers from around the world were introduced to Jessica Sutta in 2003 when she joined the Pussy Cat Dolls. Today, Jessica has launched a successful solo career and her popularity continues to grow.

Here are three things you might not know about

1. Jessica Sutta’s Rock’n Bod

Let’s be honest, Jessica has an amazing body, but how does she do it?

“I do Kundalini yoga,” Jessica said. “It’s changed my life. It’s a relaxing hour-and-a-half intense workout. It’s healing and magical.”

Kundalini is a physical, mental and spiritual yoga discipline that develops strength, awareness, character and inspires creative energy.

2. Jessica’s Mentor

Although Jessica may be inspired to be the next Kylie Minogue, that’s not who she looks up to as a mentor to help her reach her goals.

“My mom made me dream big,” explained Jessica, as she talked about who she looked up to the most. “She did it by supporting me and loving me. She worked three jobs to put into dance class. She wanted me to have the world”

That’s a pretty darn awesome mom, to be that passionate about wanting to give her daughter an amazing jump on life.

3. What’s a Girl to do…

Outside of our full-time jobs, we all have stuff we love to do in our spare time.

“I love arts and crafts” Jessica said, describing her favorite things to do in her down time. “I enjoy making vision boards and jewelry.”

In addition to her hobbies that allow her to express her creative side, Jessica also enjoys delving into spirituality, angle cards, and reading.

Drake Rock, Behind the Camera

Life of American gay porn producer, Drake Rock, is pretty darn near normal. He’s the kind of guy that likes to drink Mountain Dew, get through life commando style, listen to m1live.com, and watch movies in his spare time.

“I took piano lessons for ten years and can barely play chopsticks,” Drake said. Ok, so maybe playing music wasn’t his forte, but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t work hard and have fun.

Just like everyone the rest of us, Drake has struggled with his own personal challenges.

“Making time to relax and enjoy life,” said Drake. “I tend to work too much.”

To compensate for his passion for work he has been known to visit some of his favourite vacation destinations.

“It used to be the beach,” Drake said as he was explaining where he would go on vacation. “I love places like Amsterdam, Montreal and London. My next big trip will hopefully be Rome and southern Italy.”

Drake also has a great sense of humor.

“I don’t eat meat,” Drake explained. “Well, at least processed meat. Cock is a different story.”

All joking aside, Drake has had some great moments throughout his life.

“Over the years, I’ve had many personal achievements that I was proud of at the time but they don’t seem monumental anymore,” Drake modestly said. “Now I’m happy if I can bring a smile to someone’s face and make them laugh. It’s the little things in life that matter.”

There are many people who could easily agree with that. It’s more about the journey and the people and events along the way that make life special.

“Still happy and laughing,” is how Drake described himself and where he will be in the next five years. “The rest if superfluous. Family and friends are important. Everything and everyone else are transitory and beyond our control that it’s easier to focus on simple things.”

“Whatever happens, happens,” Drake added.

Is Bad-Ass Porn Star, Jessy Karson, Looking for a Serious Relationship?

Jessy Karson fans watch-out… Jessy’s on the prowl to find Mr. Right! The 24 year old bad-ass gay porn star has big plans to settle down for a modern-day old-fashioned relationship.

“I want a house with a pool, boyfriend and a dog,” Jessy described.

If you like great food, Jessy would make a great husband. He is right at home in the kitchen. One of his favourite meals to make is duck l’orange.

Jessy likes to find himself out at the clubs to enjoy a night of dancing, but also appreciates entertaining friends at home.

“I don’t want to go out every weekend,” said Jessy. “I like to have parties at home with friends.”

When it comes to an exclusive relationship, Jessy said he would like to have a traditional relationship, but was pretty sure that it would likely be an open relationship over time.

Jessy’s search for a partner does not include someone who is a porn star.

“I want to be the only one to see my boy friend naked,” said Jesse. “Exclusivity turns me on.”

He admits that being HIV positive does complicate matters, however, he is confident his match is out there; it’s just a matter of time until they meet.

My love and passion for home canning & preserving

My friends all know that I love to cook and bake. I can spend hours in the kitchen. I love trying new recipes and new things.

Over the last two summers I have been learning the art of home canning. Home canning and preserving is a tradition for most families, including mine.

Unfortunately, canning in the last 20 or so years has become a thing of the past. Over time, food has become more accessible, and thanks to globalization fruit and vegetables are always ‘in-season’.

But the fact of the matter is, nothing beats home canned peaches on a cold night in the middle of winter, or homemade pickles with a traditional Sunday evening roast beef dinner.

I remember when I was younger helping my grandparents with canning. Grandma would warn me not to touch the sterilized jars and grandpa would have us pit the cherries to get them ready to be preserved.

I remember every year asking my grandparents for canned peaches and cherries. I just couldn’t get enough of them. Two years ago I figured it was probably time I learnt how to do it myself. From what I remembered, it didn’t seem that hard. I also did a lot of reading about the process of how to can safely and effectively – the Internet is a vast resource of information, but so were my grandma’s old recipe books!

I started off easy in 2008, canning just 6-dozen jars of fruit. At the time, my friends and co-workers thought it was a bit bizarre for someone of my age to take up such a past time.

2008 Canned:

  • 24 jars of peaches
  • 24 jars of cherries
  • 24 jars of pears

By the time 2009 rolled around and my friend and family approved of my canning skills, I took my newfound interest to new heights. My grandparents heard about my interest in canning and they became my go-to people for advice. I would call them regularly for tips, asking the ‘trade-secrets’ on what I should know, and how to get the best results.

By the end of summer I had canned almost 12 dozen jars of fruits and vegetables and dehydrated 55 lbs of fruit. All of the fruit and vegetables came fresh from the Okanagan – either from a fresh fruit stand or direct from my grandparents trees and gardens.

2009 Canned:

  • 19 jars of tomatoes
  • 23 jars of peaches
  • 12 jars of pears
  • 11 jars of pickles
  • 7 jars of dilled beans
  • 27 jars of peach-cotts (a hybrid of a peach and an apricot)
  • 23 jars of cherries
  • 6 jars of apple sauce
  • 14 jars of raspberry jam

2009 Dehydrated:

  • 10 lbs of cherries
  • 20 lbs of peach-cotts
  • 25 lbs of apples

Throughout the fall, over Christmas and this spring, I have shared my canning with friends, co-workers and family – all who have appreciated receiving a gift from the heart and my home.

Canning is now a hobby I enjoy, and is a tradition from my family I am proud to know and continue for years to come.
