Steamworks Introduces Bottled Beer

In 1995, Steamworks Brewing Company took over a location, just a few blocks up from the landmark steam clock, in Vancouver’s Gas Town district. Their location was equipped with a rare century old heat system. The owners, Brewmaster, and engineers worked together to build what has become Canada’s only steam-generated brewery.

After almost two decades of brewing fresh beer, the iconic Vancouver microbrewery has expanded their offerings into a new line-up of bottled beer. The new 650ml bottles are available in six-packs means that beer enthusiasts can take their favourite tastes home with them.

For their launch, Steamworks bottled beer is available in Pale Ale (5.2% alc/vol.), Pilsner (5% alc/vol.), at various beer and liquor stores across British Columbia

Stay tuned… plans are in the works to release Frambozen, Wheat Ale, Heroica Oatmeal Stout and Pumpkin Ale in limited edition runs.

Yaletown Brew Pub

Almost every neighbourhood has a bar or pub that is popular with the locals. The go-to spot in Vancouver’s trendy Yaletown district is the Yaletown Brew Pub. There’s a reason it’s been voted best Brew Pub on more than one occasion.

Serving the community since 1994, the Yaletown Brew Pub (YBP), is a microbrewery crafting a wide range of their very own libations including ales, stouts and lagers.

The YBP has separate bar and restaurant areas. The upscale 160-seat pub restaurant features fresh and modern twists on traditional pub fare. They use fresh, quality ingredients and have a wide menu selection, ranging from chicken burgers and homemade mac & cheese, to pizzas and rice bowls.

It’s a fun place to go with friends for a quick lunch, casual dinner on the patio, or late evening for great mirco-brewed beer.
