Spring Zing Cocktail

Spring Zing Cocktail, made with raspberries, mint and vermouth.Jazz up your spring with a fresh and tasty cocktail! The Spring Zing tastes like fruit punch, only extra dry. Make a pitcher and enjoy with friends over Sunday brunch with fresh-baked raspberry-lemon scones and melted butter.

  • 3 oz Vermouth
  • 1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 Raspberries
  • 2 Mint Leaves

In the bottom of a martini shaker, muddle mint and raspberries with simple syrup. Add the vermouth, lemon juice and ice. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass half-filled with ice. Garnish with lemon slice, raspberry and mint leaf.

12 Drinks of Christmas – Day 12

Part of the enjoyment over the holiday season is entertaining friends and family. They love being surprised with special treats. With some simple preparation, this cocktail will certainly wow your guests and perhaps become a new holiday tradition.

  • 1 Cup of Water
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • 2 Fresh Orange Peels
  • 1 Cup Fresh Cranberries
  • 1 Cup Canadian Whisky
  • 8 Springs Fresh Mint

In a saucepan, heath water, sugar, orange peel and cranberries. Cook until cranberries being to pop. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate in sterile container until cold. Strain cranberry syrup through a sieve into a sterile container, discarding solids. Store in refrigerator for up to one week.

To make, add whisky to the syrup mix. Stir well. Fill six rock glasses with ice. Pour the chilled mixture into the glasses. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.


The Earth-Friendly Martini

There’s nothing better than the taste of a hand-crafted martini, make with fresh and organic products. The Earth-Friendly Martini is one that you will easily fall in love with. Prairie Organic Vodka is made by a co-op of over 900 Minnesota farmers that grow certified organic #2 yellow corn. Each batch is distilled four to six times, giving it a smooth, clean character and taste. The distillery is also eco-friendly because they use leftover corncobs to create biogas energy to power the stills! To make this cocktail extra eco-friendly, add in some locally organically grown cucumbers, limes and mint leaves. Now you’ve got a martini that is earth-friendly and it tastes freak’n amazing!

  • 2 oz Prairie Organic Vodka
  • 1 oz of Fresh-Squeezed Juice from Organic Limes
  • 3 slices of Organic Cucumber
  • 6 Organic Mint Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Sugar

Muddle the cucumber, mint and sugar in the bottom of a martini shaker. Add ice, Prairie Organic Vodka, and lime juice. Shake hard until the martini shaker is frosted. Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a slice of lime.


Mint Chip Martini

Mint and chocolate were meant to go together. They are even delicious as a cocktail!

  • 1 oz Whipped Vodka
  • 1 oz Crème de Cacao
  • 1/2 oz Crème de Menthe

Pour all three ingredients into a martini shaker half full of ice. Shake until the shaker begins to frost. Pour into a chilled martini glass.


Mint-Lime Delight Cocktail

Hello Summer! This cocktail whisks you to a patio in South Beach, Florida or to a game of croquet in the back garden. It’s delightful!

  • 1 oz Novo Fogo Organic Silver Cachaça
  • 1 small lime
  • mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 oz pineapple juice

Cut up a lime in wedges; toss them into the glass. Muddle with sugar. Gently mash torn mint leaves inside the glass. Fill the glass with ice. Add cachaça and pineapple juice. Pour everything into a martini shaker and shake. Pour everything (including the ice) into a  small rock glass. Garnish with a strawberry and mint sprig.
