Purple Haze Cocktail

IMG_0168_smWith spring well underway, patio drinks are back in season. Before canning season gets underway, break out those jars and a large bucket of ice for a fun, old-fashioned spring cocktail party. Guaranteed your guests will love drinking from vintage Mason jars! This cocktail is super easy to make and is bursting with good health. It really is the perfect way to celebrate the great energy of spring.

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 3 oz Pomegranate Juice
  • 1 oz Green Tea

Brew green tea and cool to room temperature. Pour steeped tea into a pint-size canning jar, along with pomegranate juice and vodka. Seal with a snap-lid. Place sealed jars inside a large bucket of ice. Scoop ice into drink when ready to serve. Give a quick shake before sipping.

Located at 35 Church Street in Toronto, the Hot House Cafe has one of the best people watching patio’s around. It’s located near theatres, music, hotels and night clubs, making it an awesome location to stop in before heading out for the evening. They’re also open for Sunday brunch.

The Hot House Martini is their signature martini on their menu. It’s rich, thick and sweet – you’ll love it.

  • 1 oz Pomegranate Liquor
  • 1 oz Blueberry liquor
  • ½ ozSimple syrup
  • ½ oz pomegranate juice
  • ½ oz blueberry juice
  • 1 oz Lemonade

Fill a martini shaker half full of ice. Add in all ingredients. Shake until the shaker begins to frost. Pour into a chilled, sugar rimmed martini glass.


Lemon Twisted, Pomegranate Martini

  • In a martini shaker add ice, 2 oz vodka, 2 oz pomegranate juice and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
  • Shake and pour into a sugar rimmed martini glass. Fill remainder of glass with club soda.
  • Garnish with a twist of lemon.
