Cherry Candy Cane Martini

IMG_9676_smWelcome to the 12 Cocktails of Christmas. Over the next 12 days you will find exciting, fun, festive and elaborate cocktails.

12 Drinks of Christmas – Day 1

First cocktail up is the Cherry Candy Cane. This martini has hints of mint and cherry. The candy-coated rim is a fun treat that wraps the whole cocktail together.

  • 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 0.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps
  • 0.75 oz Kirsch
  • 2 oz Club Soda

Fill a martini shaker half-full of ice. Add vodka, peppermint schnapps and kirsch. Shake hard until the shaker begins to frost. Pour into a chilled martini glass rimmed with crushed candy cane. Add club soda.

Deep Blue

This is a really sweet cocktail. Perfect if you’re like me and need a good pick-me-up before going out.

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Peach Schnapps
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1 can Red Bull

Pour vodka, Red Bull and peach schnapps in a highball glass. Add a small amount of curaçao until the mixture is a deep green. Add ice and then pour the remainder of the curaçao down the side of the glass to leave a layer of blue at the bottom.

Miami Haze

Whisk yourself away to a summer evening on Ocean Blvd in South Beach, Miami, Florida.

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Peach Schnapps
  • 2 tbsp Frozen Mango Concentrate
  • 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz Orange juice
  • 1/2 oz Cranberry juice

Pour all ingredients into a martini shaker half-filled with ice. Shake until the outside of the martini shaker starts to frost. Pour into a chilled martini glass.

Polar Bear Hot Chocolate

Chocolate and mint were meant to be together – just like you and your true love, especially on a cold winter night.

  • 2 oz Hot Cocoa
  • 1 oz Peppermint Schnapps
  • 1 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • Whipped Cream
Sugar rim a martini glass. Pour in hot chocolate,  Peppermint Schnapps and Irish Cream. Carefully top with real whipped cream. Add a chocolate stick, maraschino cherry, or peppermint patty as an optional garnish. Serve immediately.

Candy Apple Martini

This Candy Apple martini doesn’t look too exciting, but it tastes really good; like a candied granny smith apple.

  • 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 oz Apple Sour Puss
  • 1 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 1 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry

Pour vodka, apple schnapps, butterscotch schnapps, and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass, and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Valentine Kiss Martini

This martini is like a Valentine’s kiss in a glass. It’s soft, sensual, and sweet!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz raspberry mure
  • 1 oz cherry Schnapps
  • Sparkling wine

In an ice-filled martini shaker add vodka, raspberry mure and Schnapps. Shake. Pour into a chilled sugar-rimmed martini glass. Top of martini with sparkling wine.

Sparkling Peppermint Martini

A refreshing, clean, double-minty martini, just in time for the Christmas holiday’s.
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz white Crème de Menthe
  • 1 oz peppermint schnapps
  • Club Soda
  • Mini candy canes

In an ice-filled martini shaker add vodka, Crème de Menthe, and peppermint schnapps. Shake. Let the shaker rest a moment. Strain into a red-sugar rimmed martini glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with mini candy cane.
